Comments & Suggestions
We are happy to accept and consider comments and suggestions from our patients.
A suggestion/comments book is located on the reception desk. Please use it to give your written comments or suggestions.
If you prefer, you may discuss your suggestions/comments in private with a senior member of staff. Just speak to a receptionist who will arrange an appointment.
Complaints
The Practice aims to provide a friendly and professional service to all our patients. However, if you have any concerns about any aspect of our service, please let us know. In the first instance speak to whoever you feel most comfortable with – your GP, a senior member of staff or any of our reception staff.
In the majority of cases concerns can be resolved quite easily. However, if you feel the need to make a written complaint please address it to the Practice Manager at the practice, who will acknowledge it in writing within 48 hours.
What happens if I prefer to complain directly to the Commissioning organisation?
From 1 July 2023 the way you make a complaint about primary care services (these are GPs, Dentists, Pharmacists and Opticians) to the commissioner is changing. Rather than contacting NHS England, complaints will be made directly to the Local Integrated Care Board (ICB). Their address is: 722 Prince of Wales Road, Darnall, Sheffiled, S9 4EU, or telephone: 0114 305 1905.
You will still be able to make a complaint direct to the provider for exampple your GP surgery as detailed above, this is NOT changing.
People with ongoing complaints on/after 1 July 2023 will receive a letter from NHS England informing them that the ICB is now handling their complaint with confirmation of their case handler.
People with ongoing complaints received before 1 July 2023 will receive a letter from NHS England informing them that their complaint is being retained by NHS England with confirmation of their case handler.
