How to get your GP record

Patients have now automatically been given access to their medical record from February 2023 and can view all future additions to the records from this date.

You can access your GP record and nominate someone you trust to access it too.

There are 3 main ways to get your GP record:

  1. Using your NHS Account - log into your account using the NHS App or NHS website. First, you need to register for online services and provide who you are. You can do this when you create an account.
  2. Using other Online Services or Apps - you might be able to use online services such as SystmOnline to access your record. First, you need to register for online services and prove who you are.
  3. By speaking to your GP Surgery - You can ask for your record at your GP surgery.
